Baselworld 2013: Girard-Perregaux 1966 Lady 38 mm - Time with feminine elegance

Elegant, scintillating and graceful: Girard-Perregaux’s newest feminine creation finds a choice stage to make the hours dance by in the GP1966 collection. Its design is solidly backed up by the regular beat of a manufacture mechanical movement.

If time had only one shape, it would surely be round. The round shapes of the Girard-Perregaux 1966 bind and unbind, from the case to the dial, from the mother-of-pearl to the diamonds, to the rhythm of its oscillating weight, visible through the sapphire case back, which leads the hours in their dance.

Housed in its setting of gem-set pink gold, the dial of the Girard-Perregaux 1966 Lady 38 mm hides great complexity behind its pure aesthetic; the diamonds and the mother-of-pearl are subtly intertwined in a hypnotic ballet of curves. The nobility of the materials, the radiance of the sunray-brushed dial, the shine and the softness which emanates from it set this most delicate creation apart.

Created in the Manufacture’s workshops, the caliber GP03300 showcases the Girard-Perregaux’s fine watchmaking tradition. Main plate and bridges are painstakingly drawn, beveled, pearled and decorated with Côtes de Genève. Featuring 205 pieces, the movement also has a power reserve of 46 hours.

The charm works. The new Girard-Perregaux 1966 Lady 38 mm displays its elegance, mixing sophistication and originality. Glamorous, it is not afraid to be modern. It will find its perfect place on the wrist of a woman who enjoys living in her time and makes every moment special forever.
