Girard-Perregaux supports Nile Rodgers and his “We Are Family Foundation” in Paris
Paris, November 19, 2013. Girard-Perregaux, the Swiss fine watch manufacturer, and Nile Rodgers partnered up in Paris to present projects to support the "We Are Family Foundation" and its young talents involved in philanthropic work.
This meeting, which was hosted at Le Carmen, comes in the wake of the New York "Changing Watch Event" that brought together Susan & David Rockefeller, the "We Are Family Foundation" and Girard-Perregaux and raised more than $200,000 to support the foundation's activities. This magnificent private mansion house, built in 1875 in the architectural style of the Second Empire, is a listed monument and is where Georges Bizet is said to have composed his famous opera, Carmen.

"Nile's commitment is exceptional", said Michele Sofisti, CEO of the Sowind Group (Girard-Perregaux and JEANRICHARD), "It is an honor to work with him to raise awareness among future generations of our planet's major issues."
Nancy Hunt, the President of the "We Are Family Foundation", said: “Our ambition is to inspire and encourage young people to rise to the challenges of tomorrow, prepare new ground and hand over the baton to the new generation to protect our planet.”
Nile Rodgers added: "Together we can achieve amazing things. I hope this initiative will encourage other young people to join our fight to change our world."
