Girard-Perregaux won of two awards at the ceremony held by the magazine "Montres Passion" at Intercontinental Hotel of Geneva.
Girard-Perregaux not only received the "Coup de Coeur du Jury” (critics’ choice) for its groundbreaking Constant Escapement L.M. but also the "2013 Watch Advertising Campaign" awarded by the public, for its campaign “Mechanics of Dreams since 1791”.
A true technical revolution, The Constant Escapement L.M. stunned connoisseurs when prototypes of the innovative mechanism were first presented. This concept addresses a Holy Grail of watchmaking, the constant force. A breakthrough made possible by a completely new architecture and design of the escapement integrating a silicon blade of 14 microns.
The advertising campaign "Mechanics of Dreams since 1791" featuring Alfred Hitchcock has been launched following the partnership of Girard-Perregaux with the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures as exclusive timekeeper and a founding supporter.
